Full Description

Norma Schenck-Atchison, M.S., LICSW is in private practice in Hopkins, Minnesota, specializing in treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma with adults, adolescents, children, couples and families. She has also worked at The Bridge for runaway youth and as a member of several clinic practices.

Norma received her B.A. from Metropolitan State in Minneapolis and her MS. in 1982 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, which has a highly respected program in marriage and family counseling. She has always been innovative, looking for something new and profound to help clients more effectively.

She is a certified energy healer, having completed a two-year intensive training program based in Madison, Wisconsin. She became EMDR trained in 1994. When she heard about Thought Field Therapy, she inspired her colleagues and organized the first TFT training in Minnesota. They said, “Leave it to Norma. Here we go again, another adventure.” After learning Level I and II, she went on to do the Diagnostic level and, a couple of years later, learned VT.

As an example of her success with VT, one of her clients was planning to go to a chiropractor the next day because he could hardly walk from back pain. After a few minutes of VT, he said, “I don’t know what you did but whatever it was, the pain is gone! It also took the pain out of my feet that have been painful for years.” She also checked and found that milk was an energy toxin and he agreed to stay away from dairy products. That was a year ago and he hasn’t had a problem since.
