I discovered TFT in 2008 & used it myself for a while. I was so impressed that I signed up to do the training to diagnostic level as soon as a suitable course came up in 2009. It was a skill I added to my Clinical Reflexology & Indian Head Massage, which I have been practising in a clinic environment since 2000.

I use TFT as a stand alone treatment as well as combining it with my other skills. I also use it myself all of the time. I have helped a number of people overcome a variety of problems, including: claustrophobia, irrational fears/phobias, overcoming addictions, anxiety/panic attacks, sports performance.

I work with a professional golfer who is having a great season in 2012.

Qualifications

I became a Member of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners (MBRCP) in May 2000. This is the registering body for the Institute for Complementary & Natural Medicine. More details can be found on www.icnm.org.uk.

I am still registered with them and abide by their code of ethics and practice.

I completed my standard Reflexology training and then had to complete a specified amount of clinic hours in order to qualify for this registration.

I also completed my Indian Head Massage training in this time.

This enabled me to get full insurance with the BRCP’s approved insurers so that I could begin to practice both of these.

I then attended the Clinical Reflexology course which involved learning more detailed Anatomy and Physiology and advanced Reflexology techniques.

All of this training was undertaken in West Oxfordshire with the Jade School of Complementary Therapies. All of these treatment techniques are gentle.

Once I had finished all of this training I began practising at The Natural Health Centre in Bishop’s Cleeve (until December 2008).

I also began practising, in 2001, at 1st Floor Badham’s in Charlton Kings, which is where I still am.

I trained in TFT in London with Joanne &/or Roger Callahan. This was followed by more self-study, practical practise & case studies for both algorithm & diagnostic levels. The final case studies were accepted in July 2009, giving me the qualification of TFT Practitioner at diagnostic level, TFTdx.

My insurers were happy to add TFT to my skills that they cover for me.
